Arin Blevins
Masters Level Counseling Intern
LGBTQIA+ people face adversities that not a lot of people can say they've been through. As a bisexual transman, I'm familiar with the universal experiences that LGBTQIA+ people face. I'm a strong believer that people should be able to be themselves, fully, no matter their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, sex, or any other factor. My goal is to give you a space to be and explore 'you.'
I'm a student at Northern Kentucky University studying for my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. I also received my bachelor's degree in psychology at NKU, with a minor in women and gender studies. My professional focus is on LGBTQIA+ populations, adolescents, and adults.
Every person comes into counseling with a story. That is why when it comes to counseling, I use a narrative and affirmative approach to help my clients make meaning from their stories and decide how they want to move forward with it. I will use techniques and approaches that best fit you, and of course, support who you are as a person. And if you're unsure who that is, that's okay! I want to help you figure out and enjoy being your authentic self!"
